Success! Our classroom is buzzing with the sound of happy kids typing away and creating some great work! After school, my own girls have started a library of their own fun keynotes that make me laugh as well as be impressed by their ability to pull the pictures they need, create slides, and add their own quicktime movies. My daughter, Lauren, had been teaching the younger students how to do movies on their own. It's so nice when you can stand back and see one child teach another. It really shows you what they have learned! Anyhow, we hope you enjoy the completed projects we posted under the Trimester 1 projects above. To see the after school ones click on "Fun Stuff."
We have been learning all about the life cycle of a pumpkin plant. Along with that, our language arts until has been focusing on using key words to tell sequence. Put them together and you get our first project. Students are creating a Keynote presentation about the life cycle of a pumpkin. As an added bonus, they are also using quicktime to add a movie or sound to their slideshow. They are having a great time and are learning how to work as a team to get a project done!
